Nawras family cricket on Friday

MUSCAT — The Second Nawras family cricket tournament scheduled to take off Friday, November 13 will be a One-day tournament which will begin at 7.30am and end at 3.30pm. This tournament will be exclusively for teams representing their companies. The draw for the tournament was carried out successfully at McDonalds, Al Khuwair during the week end. The organisers thanked all managers who were present at the time of the draw and making of the schedules and fixtures. There will be a voting system where cricket enthusiasts can vote for their favourite team through website muscatcricket.blogspot.com. Attractions The other attractions will be a DJ who will provide music, bouncy castle, colouring competition for children in the age group of 8-10, with lots of fun and prizes. There will be prizes for the winners, runners-up and consolation prizes sponsored by Maxima Steele range of watches. Every child participating in this competition will receive a gift hamper sponsored by Sweets of Oman, McDonald and Pizza Muscat. The top three drawings will also be published on the www.omancricket.com with the child’s name. The competition has already attracted more than 50 children who have registered their names.
The teams taking part are SBA (Team Captain-Rajendra Jog), Muscat Private Hospital (Team Captain - Tahir Aftab), Badr Al Samaa Hospital (Team Captain-Dr Moideen), Orbital Challengers LLC (Team Captain-Satheesh Kumar), Muscat Gangster (Team Captain-Janka), Green Olive Enterprise LLC (Team Captain-Karthik), The OCCO LLC-TOCO (Team Captain-Lalindra Fernando), and Sun City Hotel (Team Captain-Sachin). The tournament is sponsored by Nawras and supported by Mustafa Sultan Exchange Company, Westar, Alba and Maxima Steele range of watches, Sadolin Paints, Sweets of Oman, Pizza Muscat, McDonald, Bowshar Hotel and the media sponsor is Omanicricket.com The first match will be played between Green Olive Enterprise and Badr Al Samaa followed by Orbital Challengers and Muscat Gangsters, the third match will be between Muscat Private Hospital and Suhail Bahwan Automotive LLC anf the fourth match between The Oman Construction Co. (TOCO) and Sun City Hotel.

RULES CRICKET TOURNAMENT:-
Tournament will be played on a knock out basis. Every team must register the names of the 14 players before the match starts. “A” “B” “C” division league players are not allowed in this tournament. Players Names can’t be amended once registered. All Teams must be in proper Kit.
There are 8 over’s per (inning) and each bowler can bowl maximum of 2 over’s.
All ICC rules to be followed. Ball can be changed only on umpire’s decision.
Every team must follow Umpire decision which is last and final. Every team must report to the ground half an hour before their schedule time.

Rules- Drawing/Coloring competition.
The Drawing and coloring competition is exclusive for the Families of cricket players.

Participant child’s age must be 8-10 years.
Participants of drawing competition have to draw on the spot and have to color as well.
Drawing sheets will be provided by the organizing committee and the participants have to bring their drawing board and the colors.
Maximum Time limit to draw and color is one hour and the competition will start at 3.00 P.M.
There will be three Grand Prizes (One for the Winner and two for runner-ups.)
Other than top three drawings , ten best paintings will get a MAXIMA SSTEELE range of watches.
Each participant will also be entitled to free prize sponsored by SWEETS of Oman or MC Donald.
The top three winning drawings will be selected by the Top officials from top NAWRAS officials and like the last year the prize winning drawings will be displayed on www.omanicricket.com with the child’s name.
