Shell Rimula Cup Cricket commences on 20 TH April 2012
Shell Rimula Cup, a limited-overs cricket tournament, will be hosted on 20 TH April at the Oman Football Club grounds at Al Khuwair. This first-of-its-kind tournament in Oman will feature 16 teams exclusively drawn from among staff of transport companies, truck owners and truck drivers.
Besides offering players a chance to play competitive cricket on one of the country’s best cricket pitches, the organisers will also provide branded team-shirts to the players of each participating team.
The matches are scheduled from 07.00 am up to 5.00 pm on 20th April, and the organisers of the Shell Rimula Cup expect the keenly-awaited event to stir up great excitement amongst the transporters, trucking community – and also the general public.
“We are happy to invite all cricket-lovers to come and enjoy a fun-filled day out with their families,” said one official. “We even have a special refreshments centre at the venue to serve snacks throughout the day.”
