GRAND 1ST OMAN AIR CRICKET CUP ON 5TH November.
The sporting environment in the Sultanate is getting hot day by day with the scheduled Gulf cup and Beach Games in place . The cricket lovers in the Sultanate are also ready to witness a cricket tournament which is designed exclusively for the Travel Agents and the Airline Staff. This is first of its kind. This Cricket Tournament is designed by cricket experts and it will be held on 5th November 2010 (Friday).

There will not be any registration fees from the teams. The teams participating in this cricket tournament must ensure that they represent a travel agency or should be Air lines Staff. Even before the formal announcement of the tournament six teams are already registered. We are planning for 10-12 teams. All the players will also be given exclusively designed T-Shirt from the Oman Air. The matches will be played at Russayl Football stadium on knock out basis. MRI ball will be used for this tournament. To make the day more entertaining DJ from Pulse Events is arranged and Refreshments will be served to all players as well as spectators.

The organizers announced “This is the time for Airline staff and Travel agents to relax for a while and join a fun filled cricket tournament. This one day cricket tournament is solely sponsored by Oman Air and it is one of the corporate cricket event of the Sultanate “

Rules of Cricket Tournament:-

Every team must register the names of the 14 players. The team must ensure that the Players are permanent employees of the Travel Agents Company or Airline staff. Hired or borrowed players are not allowed to participate in this tournament.

Players names can’t be amended after registration. All Teams must be in proper Kit .The common color t-shirts with OMAN AIR LOGO will be provided to all the players by the organizing committee and a common color trouser can be arranged by the team. There are 8 over’s per (inning) and each bowler can bowl maximum of 2 over’s. All ICC rules will be followed.

Ball can be changed only on umpire’s decision. Every team must follow Umpire decision which is last and final. First match will start at 8.00A.M and. The Final match will be played on the same day and Chief Guest from Oman Air will be present to give away the prizes .The Teams will be registered on 1st come 1st serve basis after the circulation of PR.

Every team must report on the ground half an hour before their scheduled time. The schedule will be published in all the leading news papers. Representative from both the teams must be present to witness the scoring and giving the players name as and when required.
