WINS THE PROTON SUMMER CRICKET CUP.

Al Hashar & Company sponsored the Proton MRI Softball Cricket Tournament, which took place on 15th August at the Oman hockey grounds in Wattayah. Having attracted an overwhelming response, the organizers declared the event to have been a huge success, providing entertainment and enjoyment not only for the 24 teams participating but also for the large crowd of enthusiastic supporters who watched the day's proceedings with great pleasure. Presenting the prizes at the end of the day, Mr. Alok Pandya, Group Financial Controller of Al Hashar Group of Companies thanked the organizers for investing such dedication and enthusiasm, ensuring the inaugural tournament was such a triumph. Congratulating the winners, he said, "We are delighted to have had this opportunity to support such an exciting event, which has provided a great day of cricket for everyone to enjoy, either as a player on the pitch or as a spectator in the stands.. We are delighted to encourage people to spend their time in healthy pursuits which also serve to set a good example to the younger members of society."
In addition to the senior official from Al Hashar Group, Dr. V.S Kumar, General Manager, Mustafa Sultan Company also witnessed few of matches and encouraged the Team players. Dr Kumar said “we are thankful to organizers for giving us a opportunity to become a part of such a healthy event". The players and audience also enjoyed the Pocari drinks sponsored by Muscat Pharmacy and the Tea sponsored by National Tea (Mumtaz Tea).
Match Details: - Al Faisal Group team reached to their final after winning the semifinal held with Assarain. The Sri lankan tuskars team were already into their finals after competing with the Challengers XI team. In the final match, Al Faisal won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 66 runs from their Six over match and they lost a single wicket of Amir Ali. While batting second Sir Lankan tuskars scored only 35 Runs from their six overs. Mr. Kanta from Tuskars scored highest 11 runs. Mr Amir ali who scored 54 runs was declared man of the final match for his excellent contribution in the team's win.
Best batsman award was given to Mr. Amir Ali who scored 156 Runs through out the tournament and man of the Tournament award was given to Mr. Farhan Khan who took 8 wickets and given 50 runs in addition to his good contribution of batting and fielding Best bowler award was given to Mr. Dilawar who took 11 wickets throughout the tournament.
In addition to the Individual prizes, all the winners and Runners-up also enjoyed the happy meal Gifts Sponsored by KFC and Hardees.
